seagulls

Art Description
The Seagulls were the first painting I created after I moved to London. I had painted the background back in Berlin and just took the half-finished canvas with me. My studio is right at the River Thames and when I saw the seagulls I knew what to do.
The fine white lines symbolize the lightness of these elegant birds. The dark blue-green background is contrasting, calm and dark, just like the Thames.
