about

I’m Kikko, a Berlin based artist and photographer.

After 20 years as a professional car designer, I have decided to become a full-time artist in 2025.
In my studio in Berlin-Mitte I’ve found the perfect environment to create my art.

I love what I do. And I’m always eager to create.
This journey has just begun.

If you like to know more about me and my work, simply contact me via mail or Instagram.
And if you would like to commission your own artwork, you find more details here.

I’m looking forward to hear from you!

The art

In his work, Kikko explores how perception and meaning shift when familiar subjects are placed in new contexts. Recognizable figures, locations, and cultural references are removed from their original settings, fragmented, and reassembled into new visual narratives. The result is a body of work that feels both familiar and strangely unfamiliar at the same time.

Berlin serves as the starting point for these stories. It is here that the artist discovers and photographs his motifs before transforming them in the studio and placing them within a new framework. The city itself becomes a projection surface for narratives in which old and new, past and present, fairy tale and reality stand in contrast while complementing one another in unexpected ways.

To uncover and reinterpret the meaning behind the images, the viewer must look closely. Many motifs, which deliberately draw on the visual language of urban life, reveal themselves only on second glance. Recognizing and connecting references opens up additional layers of meaning that extend beyond what is immediately visible.

Between hope, overwhelm, irony, and longing, Kikko creates open-ended narratives that leave space for personal interpretation.
