Art Description
This is one of my favourite paintings. It took several months to create it, demanding a buddha-like attitude. I saw this buddha on my first journey to South Korea in 2014 where I was deeply impressed by the peace and strength of the face of the statue, located in Haeinsa Temple.
Standing in front of this impressive large-scale painting you notice fine details, spots and splashes, making it a remarkable abstract piece of art. But the real magic happens when you step back and the buddha face mysteriously starts to show at a certain distance.
