Art Description
The project “Berliners” explores the stories of people who have come to Berlin from diverse places and cultures around the world. These narratives intertwine real and fictional elements, allowing the portrayed individuals to stand as representatives of all those who have arrived from abroad and begun new lives here.
In each image, the subjects address us by quoting John F. Kennedy’s famous words in their respective native languages: “I am a Berliner.”
